CHIEF MINISTERS OF PUNJAB (PAKISTAN) 1947 TO 2021

 Punjab, the largest province of Pakistan, has had a number of chief ministers since its inception in 1947. Here is a brief overview of the chief ministers of Punjab from 1947 to 2022:

Khawaja Nazimuddin (1947-1951)
    
     Khawaja Nazimuddin was the first chief minister of Punjab after the creation of Pakistan. He served as chief minister for four years and later went on to become the second Governor-General of Pakistan.

Mumtaz Daultana (1951-1953)

Abdus Sattar Pirzada (1955-1956)

Mian Mumtaz Daultana (1956-1957)

Malik Feroz Khan Noon (1957-1958)

Chaudhry Muhammad Ali (1958-1962)

Nawab Iftikhar Hussain Khan of Mamdot (1962-1965)

     Nawab Iftikhar Hussain Khan of Mamdot served as the chief minister of Punjab for three years. He was a member of the Muslim League and later joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

Mian Arshad Hussain (1965-1966) 
    
    Mian Arshad Hussain served as the chief minister of Punjab for one year. He was a member of the Muslim League and later joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

Nawab Iftikhar Hussain Khan of Mamdot (1966-1969)

     Nawab Iftikhar Hussain Khan of Mamdot served as the chief minister of Punjab for three years. He was a member of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and later served as the Governor of Punjab.

Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif (1997-1999) 

    Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif served as the chief minister of Punjab for two years. He was a member of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) and later became the Chief Minister of Punjab for three more terms.

Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi (2002-2007)
    
     Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi served as the chief minister of Punjab for five years. He was a member of the Pakistan Muslim League (Q) and later became the Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan

Shahbaz Sharif (2008-20013)
    Shahbaz Sharif of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was elected as the chief minister of Punjab in 2008. During his tenure, he implemented several development projects in the province, including the construction of flyovers, roads, and hospitals. He also introduced the "Punjab Educational Endowment Fund" to provide financial assistance to students from low-income families.

 Shahbaz Sharif (2013-2018:)

    Shahbaz Sharif was re-elected as the chief minister of Punjab in 2013. During his second term, he focused on improving the infrastructure of the province, including the construction of the Orange Line Metro Train in Lahore. He also implemented several social welfare programs, such as the "Ashiana Housing Scheme" to provide affordable housing to low-income families.

 Usman Buzdar (2018-2019)

    After the 2018 general election, Usman Buzdar of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party was elected as the chief minister of Punjab. He focused on improving the healthcare system in the province and launched the "Sehat Insaf Card" program to provide free healthcare to low-income families.

Usman Buzdar (2019-2020:)

    Usman Buzdar was re-elected as the chief minister of Punjab in 2019. During his second term, he focused on improving the education system in the province and introduced the "Schools Reforms Roadmap" to improve the quality of education in Punjab.

Sardar Usman Buzdar(2020-2021): 

    Sardar Usman Buzdar continued as the chief minister of Punjab in 2020. He focused on improving the agricultural sector in the province and launched the "Kissan Package" to support small farmers.

2021-present: Sardar Usman Buzdar

    Sardar Usman Buzdar was re-elected as the chief minister of Punjab in 2021. He has continued to focus on improving the education and healthcare systems in the province, as well as supporting the agricultural sector.
